Educational Tour To Pokhara

Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering organized a four days educational tour to Pokhara on 2078/09/18 for the third-year Computer and Electronics Engineering students.

During the tour, the students visited Seti hydropower and Madhya Marsyangdi hydropower. These site visits enabled the students to understand the working principle of hydropower generation along with the associated equipment and control system involved.

The students also visited the operation and control site of Manakamana cable car. This provided an opportunity to students to grasp how the several disciplines in engineering like mechanical system, electrical and electronics system and microprocessor-based control system work in coherence for the proper functioning of cable car.

Apart from this, the students also got an opportunity for sightseeing several tourist destinations like Mountain Museum, Bindyabasini temple, Devis fall, Gupteswor cave, etc.

Overall, the tour served a purpose of enhancing the students’ knowledge in instrumentation, microprocessor and control system as well as familiarization with the work culture of real-world technical environment.

The tour was conducted under the supervision of a team of faculty: Anup KC (team leader), Bhuvan Adhikari, Bishal Thapa, Bishal Rimal and Pralhad Chapagain.
