After the completion of Bachelor degree from Bengal Engineering College (Calcutta University), WB, India, I have worked in Nepal for 3.5 years and then pursued Masters in Soil Engineering (Geotech) from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. In 2001, I finished my PhD from Hokkaido University, Japan. My dissertation title was “Design Parameters for Elasto-plastic FE Analysis of Soft Clay Ground.”
After the completion of PhD, I worked at Japanese Universities (Hokkaido University and Kyoto University) both as faculty and researcher. In addition, I have also worked as geotech-researcher in Japan (C-Way Engineering Consultancy, Hokkaido and Japan National Institute of occupational Safety and Health (JNIOSH), Tokyo) and Singapore (National University of Singapore, Singapore) also.
