Kantipur Engineering College Hosts One-Day Training on “Active Learning Strategies to Promote Sustainable Learning Spaces in Higher Education"

On April 12, 2023, Kantipur Engineering College hosted a one-day training session on " Active Learning Strategies to Promote Sustainable Learning Spaces in Higher Education" as part of the e-Access project. The training was conducted by Adrianna Kozlowska, Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Lodz University of Technology.

The session was attended by 25 participants from Kantipur Engineering College, Royal University of Bhutan, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), Soegijipranata Catholic University (Indonesia), Atma Jaya Catholic University (Indonesia), Pokhara University, Kathmandu Engineering College, Acme Engineering College, Advanced College of Engineering and Management, Sagarmatha Engineering College, Lalitpur Engineering College, Lumbini International Academy of Science and Technology and Kathford International College of Engineering and Management Participated in the programme. The training focused on effective teaching strategies, including Active Learning, Interactive Lecturing, Brainstorming Techniques, Small Group Teaching and more. These strategies were discussed as a means of creating engaging and collaborative learning environments.

In addition, the session introduced different tools to enhance the effectiveness of the teaching strategies. Tools such as mentimeter, Line-Up, 5H1W etc. were discussed and utilized to promote interactive and participatory learning.
