Dr. Bibek Tamang, senior lecturer at Kantipur Engineering College, participated in the first edition of GeoMandu, an International Conference on Geohazards and Geo-Infra Disasters. The conference was held on 16-17 March 2023 at Hotel Radisson in Kathmandu and was conducted by the Nepal Geotechnical Society. Experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the world attended the conference to discuss the latest developments in the field of geohazards and geo-infra disasters. Notable individuals in attendance included Dr. Marc Ballouz, President of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), and Dr. Anil Joseph, President of the Indian Geotechnical Society.
