Participation in 7th International Training Course on SMALL SATELLITE MISSION

Er. Bishal Rimal, Lecturer of Kantipur Engineering College, has attended the “7th International Training Course on SMALL SATELLITE MISSION”, which was held at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun India from 26 November to 7 December 2018. The program was organized by Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and Pacific (CSSTEAP) (Affiliated to United Nation) and jointly conducted by UR Rao Satellite (URSC) and IIRS, ISRO, Department of Space, Government of India. Out of 48 trainees of 16 different countries.

It is evident from the increasing number of satellites launched in these recent years that, satellites are important instruments for development and progress of humankind. The satellite can be used for earth observation, communication, navigation, atmospheric studies, astronomical observation and military application. During the training course he perceived the sound knowledge of small satellite technology, space technology and opportunities. As a professional, having been sensitized in developing, launching and utilizing the benefit of small satellites he has developed a deep understanding in the field of small satellite development and its required infrastructure in the context of a country like Nepal.
