LITE Technical Exhibition 2017

Technological innovation has long been the key to growth and prosperity of any nation, and engineering has been an important driver of this innovation. Engineering disciplines integrate scientific principles with practically oriented research, providing systems and processes that themselves create ways of acquiring new knowledge. With this view in mind, Research, Training and Consultancy Division (RTCD) of Kantipur Engineering College, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur with the support of students through Civil, Computer and Electronics Clubs organized a one-day inter-college Broadway Infosys LITE Technical Exhibition 2017 at the college premise on 25th Magh, 2073 (7th February, 2017). LITE stands for Learning and Innovating Technology for Enhancement.

Prof. Dr. Jiba Raj Pokharel, Vice Chancellor, NAST and Prof. Dr. Tri Ratna Bajracharya, Dean, IOE were the chief guests of the event and Dr. Tara Prasad Pokhrel, Chairman of KEC, chaired the programme. Former Science and Technology minister Ganesh Sah and the chairman of Nepal Engineering Council Satya Narayan Sah were the special guests of the event. Er. Susheel Joshi was the master of ceremony. Pricipal of KEC, Er. Rameshwar Rijal welcomed the guests, participants and the visitors and Prof. Dr. Bajracharya presented the inaugural speech. The program was inaugurated using the drone by the chairman, chief guest and principal of the college.

More than 500 students from seven different colleges participated on the Brodway Infosys LITE Technical Exhibition 2017 showcasing more than 75 projects. Vortex Turbine and Smart City were awarded the best model and best project respectively in the civil competition. Similarly, the winners of the software competition were Wi-Chat and Mero Mobile while LED Cube and CNC Machine won the hardware competition. The winner of the Science & Technology Quiz was Kathmandu University and the runner-up was Amrit Science College. The Robotics competition was won by the team from Nepal Engineering College. The winners of Ideathon pre-event were also awarded on the closing ceremony. Besides TechTalk program was also held on the same day.
