High Voltage Laboratory Visit of Poland and Greece by KEC Faculty

Prof. Rameshwar Rijal, Chairman of KEC; Er. Sushil Paudel and Er. Bishal Rimal, Lecturers of KEC, Nepal, made a technical visit to the high voltage and power systems laboratory of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece on March 21-22, 2022 and Lodz University of Technology, Poland on March 24-25 under the category of the eACCESS project’s ‘technical visit’.

eACCESS is a Capacity-Building project in the field of Higher Education (CBHE). It is funded through the European Union’s (EU) Erasmus+ program scheme to support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth, and Sport. This project supports the modernization, accessibility, and internationalization of higher education in Partner Universities in Asia in the field of Smart Power Engineering. KEC is among the partners aiming to develop five undergraduate courses and establish a high voltage laboratory on its premises.

The main objective of this visit was to gain understanding of the test facilities, experiments, and research projects being carried out at those laboratories from the perspective of planning and developing a new HV laboratory suitable for KEC. The visit also helped in curriculum modernization and development at KEC.

Under the eACCESS project, Kantipur Engineering College is installing High Voltage Laboratory in the college premises.
